Bruce Gernand is a Research Fellow of Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, having been Head of Sculpture at the College from 1997-2007. His research concerns are with grounding digital work in the material, and with craft-based techniques for digital form, using a range of CAD, rapid prototyping and sculptural techniques. He has held many teaching and visiting posts, including a Henry Moore Foundation Fellowship.
