Established by Gavin Burnage, and now directed by Mel Leggatt, this design-oriented programme is based in the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages. Registration is open to undergraduate and graduate students from MML, as well as to research staff, faculty and students from elsewhere in Cambridge. Teaching is oriented toward humanities students, for example giving a language/humanities introduction to basic principles of computation, and does not assume any prior technical experience. Students carry out extensive practical project work, developing a range of skills appropriate to careers in digital humanities research or educational technology for language teaching.
