Rana was the first of a series of PhD students in the Rainbow Group investigating Affective Computing technology under the supervision of Peter Robinson. At the start of her PhD, she collaborated on one of the Crucible New Technology Arts Fellowships to create the affective art installation Face Value with Alexa Wright.
Rana is now at the MIT Media Lab.
