I work closely with the Cambridge Centre for Music and Science, where I have co-supervised PhD and Masters students with Ian Cross and Nicholas Cook.
My specialist interest is in the creation of new music notation systems for composition, performance and music scholarship. I am particularly interested in Live Coding - using a programming language to create music synthesis programs in front of an audience. I have also carried out a number of projects using tangible user interfaces, or embodied gestural interfaces, for composition and musical control.
