This multimedia, multi-event public project was produced by Kathleen Richardson, building on the results of her PhD research as an anthropologist in the MIT AI Laboratory. It included public talks on questions related to artificial intelligence in society, integrated with an exhibition, and a season of productions of Capek's play Rossum's Universal Robots - famous for introducing the word "robot" to the world - as Kathleen described it, the 'invention' of the robot.
