Chris is a Reader in the School of Computing and Management Sciences at Sheffield Hallam University. He has degrees in Human Computer Interaction from the University of York and in Design Research from the Royal College of Art. His work is fundamentally multi-disciplinary, aimed at creating formal models of user requirements and usability of information artefacts. He was the primary technical chair of HCI98, and remains an active committee member of conferences in the field.
