A pilot study by Stuart Wray suggested a correlation between the SQ-EQ psychometric questionnaire and performance on an introductory programming course. Although unsurprising that there should be a correlation between programming aptitude and self-reported systematising tendencies, there is no need to assume that programming aptitude should also be negatively correlated with empathy.

This work is currently continuing in studies at a broader range of institutions. Collaborators include:
