Hanna was an undergraduate in the Computer Laboratory, and a PhD student in the Cavendish Laboratory supervised by David MacKay. Her undergraduate dissertation supervised by Alan Blackwell won a national prize for best computer science student of the year, based on collaboration with Robert Aish on Visual design constraint overlays.
