Mary was director of CRASSH from 2006-2011, and actively promotes interdisciplinarity in the humanities. She chaired the conference Digital Resources in the Humanities and Arts, worked closely with David Robey in establishing Cambridge participation in the AHRC ICT Methods Network, and has been a key champion for the establishment of the Cambridge Digital Humanities Initiative.
