SoundCodr is a system created by Alistair Stead during his MPhil in Advanced Computer Science. It allows users to build a graphic score interpreter that runs on a mobile phone, interpreting coloured pen drawings on a white board and converting them into music synthesis control parameters. Users can define their own novel music notation, then create a score and play it by pointing the mobile phone camera at their drawing.
