Stephen is a specialist in establishing effective relations between researchers and technology companies. He was a founder of the [[Computer Lab Ring]], and was closely involved in the initial Crucible strategy, especially as it related to the [[Cambridge-MIT Institute]]. He was one of the expert contributors to the [[Interdisciplinarity and Innovation]] project. He was chairman of Trinamo Ltd, and is now with Redgate software.
