Stephen is Crown Commercial Representative in the Cabinet Office with special responsibility for technology SMEs. He is a specialist in establishing effective relations between researchers and technology companies, and has been founder and board member of multiple startups. He was a founder of the Computer Lab Ring, and was closely involved in the initial Crucible strategy, especially as it related to the Cambridge-MIT Institute. He was one of the expert contributors to the Interdisciplinarity and Innovation project.
