This project funded by the European commission under the title "WEBKIT" explored the use of tangible user interfaces to help schoolchildren understand the structure of argument when researching and presenting controversial topics debated on the Web. A series of tangible prototypes were created and evaluated in classrooms, with the final operating version using RFID technology to relate argument structures to presentation content, facilitate collaborative discussion among children, and optimise search engine results that are relevant to the topics under discussion.
