Dante's Divine Comedy has been the focus for a wealth of humanities scholarship over centuries. However the work itself can also be considered as a technological innovation, in which Dante constructed interactive experiences for his readers through new developments of literary form. This project is investigating the ways in which videogame theory can throw light on Dante's achievement, and extend the ever-fertile opportunity for new readings of the Commedia.
