Mailing Lists
Currently we have the following four mailing lists:
psychiatry-bmu-networks@lists.cam.ac.uk
This is used to announce the regular networks meetings (usually held on Tuesdays). the list includes many members of the BMU as well as people from related institutes who may want to join in our seminars. The list is managed by Mika and Petra.

To send a message to people who had indicated that they want to receive announcement from us, use this mailing list.
The list managers are Cheryl and Cinly. However, it will be better to use psychiatry-bmu-announce-manager@lists.cam.ac.uk for mailing list related enquires. This allow automatic routing of the message to either manager.
As subscribers to this list usually (and rightly) assumes that email from this list carries authority from the BMU, only BMU members (defined as those on psychaitry-bmu list) are allowed to post to this mailing list. You should not send any sensitive information to this list as anybody, with evil intention or otherwise, can subscribed to this list. In other words, list managers do not vet applicant to this list. For sensitive information, consider psychiatry-bmu-trust or psychiatry-bmu listed below. Any email to this mailing list is automatically forwarded to psychiatry-bmu-trust and psychiatry-bmu mailing list.

To send a message to people we can "trust", which includes but not limited to every one the psychiatry-bmu list, please use this email address.

Membership of this mailing list is by invitation only and is restricted people who we can trust with more sensitive information. As a general rule of thumb, members of University of Cambridge and MRC-CBU are qualified for this list.
Please do not publicize this mailing list. If anyone indicate that they are interested in our activities, ask them to subsribe to psychiatry-bmu-announce above. From there, the list managers will vet them to decide whether to invite them on to the "trusted" list. Any email to this mailing list is automatically forwarded to psychiatry-bmu mailing list.

To send a message to everyone in the group, you can use this mailing list. There is no need to subscribe/unsubscribe to this mailing list as the list managers will automatically add/remove members from the list to reflect the current composition of the unit.

Currently it is an open and unmoderated mailing list. If and when necessary, it can be closed or set to moderated within 2 hours. This will be done if the list is abused. The choice of action depending on the severity of the abuse.
Membership of this mailing list is restricted to BMU group members only.
