Community music in the streaming age

Despite the ubiquity of digital media, there are many health and wellbeing benefits gained by coming together to make music in community settings. This project is exploring the experiences of people who participate in community music groups as a component of their social identity during life course changes. These groups also make use of streaming media in ways that differ from the pop music/youth demographic that is generally regarded as shaping the recorded music industry.
