UCL Arts and Sciences programmes
From Crucible Network Research Projects
Jump to navigationJump to searchThese interdisciplinary undergraduate programmes introduced at UCL in 2012 are directed by Carl Gombrich. Leading to a BASc in Arts and Sciences, the curriculum mixes courses from across the UCL faculties, together with a number of core courses offering distinctive transdisciplinary perspectives including a museum-oriented "object-based learning" and a general critical course in "qualitative thinking". Distinct from Crucible agenda in that they do not take a specific professional orientation toward design or technology, the Arts and Sciences programmes nevertheless share many Crucible concerns with collaboration and reflective scholarly practices.
