Literacy is a major problem for young people in North Africa. The Arabic at the mosque is like an Italian learning Latin, and Duolingo doesn’t connect to newspapers and work opportunities. They need a language learning app that enriches their lives with social functionality and gamification, and most importantly “kalamna” - the Arabic for “our words”.
