I think that the single thread performance (large memory) and the storage experiments machine could be the same thing classed as a "Latency experiments" machine.  If we're concerned with machines that have fast and wide PICe then they should necessarily have fast CPUs as well. For these machines, I'd suggest the Arista 7150 series switches which have excellent latency performance and can be stacked for 40G. [[User:mpg39|mpg39]], 11 March 2015‎
