One strategy to improve the University's policy with respect to active travel is to call for a the Regent House (the governing body of the University) to hold a Discussion of a Topic of Concern on sustainable transport.

Draft call for discussion (based on a previous one about the prevent duty):

We, the undersigned, hereby request that a Discussion be held as soon as convenient in the Lent term on on subject "That the Regent House, as the governing body of the University, consider how the University can deliver on its stated aim of providing viable and accessible sustainable travel options for staff and students for travel to work, and travel at work. In particular discussing how the guidance in Making space for cycling and IAN 195/16 could be followed and the straightforward measures that could be taken to bring existing infrastructure up to current standards." We further request that this Discussion be open to students and to all employees of the University and Colleges, time permitting, in addition to those already entitled to attend.
